Team Spotlight: Dr. Orna Barash

What is your name (first + last) and what do you do at NanoScent?

Orna Barash, VP of Clinics

Leading the clinical team which is responsible of planning, executing and managing clinical trials. I also lead some of the development efforts related to adjacent components which support NanoScent's core technology like the bag collection and other breath collection components (which relate to the clinical experience of the sample procedure). I also work on looking for NanoScent next product and future activities.

What is the meaning of your name?

I am called after my grandfather (same letters different order).

What is your educational background?

PhD in Biochemical Engineering

What kind of food do you like? Do you like to cook?

I try to eat a non-carbohydrate diet and vegetarian as well.

What kind of hobbies do you have?

Spending time with my family, going to the beach, running, watching TV shows, and cooking.

What is your favorite music?

I love all kinds of music, Israeli is my favorite.

Do you like sports?

I love sports, I am running 10km three times a week.

What is your dream?

To be a doctor :) and to grow professionally in a successful company.

What was your favorite vacation you've gone on?

I love traveling in Europe - Germany and Austria with my family.

What is a good movie you recently saw?

I like TV shows more than movies. Modern Family is my favorite.

What is your favorite part about your job at NanoScent?

I like the people at NanoScent and working with people from different disciplines.

What do you feel good about at work?

I love the diversity in my job, I love the challenges, I love the relation to medicine and the possibility to create breakthrough technology.
